Of course, if you did it last time,
you can probably let it slide this time. |

I'm thinking about getting a new gas stove, mine is getting a little tired (labelling peeling off, burners well used, oven igniter no longer works) and it's also due for the oven to be cleaned, so... >Since tomorrow is a leap year day, I'm good for 4 more years. Yes, it's the 29th here today. A friend has just turned '9 y/o' (his birthday is today). |

I ordered some clear trays to put in there in the hopes of creating some order. I got half of them today. The smaller ones. Larger ones will arrive on Tues. But now I am not sure they will all fit. Was hoping to use a smaller and larger on each shelf, but they have a small lip around the edge and I am not sure they included that in the measurements. I have no way of knowing for sure if they will all fit until I get them. But... So far just the four that I do have, have made a big difference. I have tried things in there before that only seemed to give me less overall storage space. But these are great! I have all of the meat and cheese for sandwiches in one. Now we can just pull it out and not have to sort through many little packages that are partially full. And I can use another for small things like yogurt, dip, sour cream, cottage cheese, etc. Not too much food waste. A little bit of old hummus, single serve packet of baby carrots that were dried up and a handful of mushy lettuce. |

I made caldo verde tonight - which used the last of the kale, part of an onion and a partial box of stock that were in the refrigerator, the last of the fingerling potatoes and a link of Silva Spanish chorizo that was in the freezer. -- sf |

I have not seen any fingerling potatoes here of late. I found a recipe that calls for them and jalapenos. Guess I'll have to keep looking. |

I suspect what little we have now in the markets, is from South America? Carol -- |

The fingerlings sold in grocery stores are actually full sized adults. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fingerling_potato I don't care if they do come from South America, but I can look for place of origin when I shop next if it's an issue for you. -- sf |
