We don't have farms out here in the suburbs. So how could we have farm stands? In season, you can find people selling strawberries and cherries along the road. In some cases it would be very difficult to buy them even if you wanted some as there is no place to pull over or park. Used to be a strawberry guy in Perinville. No stand. Just a guy and some flats of berries. My dad bought some and they were very good. Guy hasn't been there for several years. Quite likely he wasn't supposed to be doing it. You're supposed to have a business permit to sell like that and he probably didn't have permission from the property owner. |
