![]() We had takeout for dinner tonight: Thai Beef Salad with Cilantro Vinaigrette and Pad Thai. Dessert was homemade and a step into the unknown for me: Plum Clafloutis. It was easy and delicious; good for everyday meals, company and parties. I cut this recipe in half for the 2 of us. It was a little sweet for me, so I'll short the sugar a bit next time. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/fo...outis-56389910 Definitely making it again and will use other fruit as the summer progresses. -- sf |

I'd probably just make it with peaches. I had pork adobo for dinner. For breakfast it was a Portuguese sausage and kim chee fried rice frittata. Boy that was tasty. https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/sh...hare_link_copy |

I've been seeing pics on Facebook of people's cherries being ripe. Those were Rainier. We have Bing. I checked my tree and they're almost ready. Guess all this early hot weather caused this. Normally they are ready on the 4th of July. I would take them to people then. We didn't get any to eat last year. Not one. Not sure if someone came and picked when I wasn't looking or if the birds got them. I made pork chops and black beans with brown rice for husband. Angela had the fruits and veggies again. I ate almost an entire head of Romaine from Costco. They were super good again. Also some grape and tiny yellow tomatoes, some tuna salad and those free rolls that I got yesterday. It was too much food for me so I put half of the tuna back for another meal. I should add that the Romaine was small. Not one of those giant heads but a heart. |
