Agree. I can do it much more easily than my husband though. It's a
one man job for me, he makes a big deal out of it and calls me in to
provide help. It is easer with two people. One holds the corners and
the other pulls the cover - but AFAIC, it takes a lot longer due to
all the discussion. He needs help, but has to "direct" the operation.

Over the years I've developed what I think is the easiest and most
efficient way but it's still awkward. It's only marginally easier with
the singles I have on the guest beds so I use sheets on those too.

I just put one corner in at a time, tie with the ribbon, do the other corner
the same way, and shake it down. Very easy, but I do have completely open
bottoms on them. LOL on directing the operation. I hear ya!

I think "they" want UK to stay. The bigger the better. That's why
they're now working on Ukraine and Turkey, for crying out loud.

My duvet is commercial, zipper opening. If I made my own, it would
have an overlap opening that went the entire length of one side. No
ribbons for me.

I love the way the ribbons look, and yep to the men when it comes to
directing.

Btw, I just read that the Scots may have made the difference if Remain

"Because they sell most of their whisky to the EU." But that may have

Definitely but in this instance I see all sorts of grabs by each set
of politicians and it will be costly and all laid at the excuse door
of Brexit. There is also all the money in Brussels, just written off
I suppose. I see the £ is at a 30 year low so figure my widows
pension drops for July

I bet the pound will bounce back after the initial fright.

What will happen is there will be trade agreements that do not require
giving up sovereignty, which is what they should have done in the first
place.

I imagine all the politicos now see money falling into their bank
accounts, everything can be written off to the 'cost of independence'
- rather reminds me of when our Provincial Premier decided the City of
Halifax should merge with the City of Dartmouth on the other side of
the harbour. It was going to save millions, well starting with a new
council chamber with leather chairs that cost a mere $1,000 each, you
know that was just a beginning. Certainly hasn't been cheaper.

I think the Pound will be up soon too. Once the emotion passes and
people realize is may be a good thing. The EU is a good thing too for
many countries, but not for all.

For one simple reason: my WinXP computer easily did something my MacBook Pro cannot do! USB connect to my Android HTC device and allow me to retrieve pics from it!!

**** the "future of computers" and the MONEY that will funnel to our Owners!!

It has never been cheaper re Halifax/Dartmouth - to appease Dartmouth
they re-named the whole Halifax Regional Municipality, that meant all
the road signs changed, all the buses repainted, it just went on and
on, absolutely ridiculous and frustrating.

I can't see states merging, mostly because each state has their own
peculiarities just like every Province here is unique, but some towns
in NS still talk of merging but cool again when they look at HRM.

Every time politicians get the bit between the teeth, tax payers get
fleeced!

Yes, of course it will be up again) Well spotted)) The EU was not good
for us and now they are floundering

They were asked for minimum concessions and haughtily declined, now they
have what they deserve!

They merged school boards here. In theory, that meant that they should
have been able to cut back on duplication of services. Instead of having
one director, which is the highest paid position in the system, they had
one director and one deputy directory...red circled at the same pay
rate. They kept all the superintendents. For some reason, they had to
get new signs for all the schools so that they could indicate the
jurisdiction. Before the merger they all had the name of the school on
the building. After the merger they had the same name, but they all had
a sign erected out by the road with the name of the school and the name
of the newly merged school board, and I don't think anyone but them and
the people who got paid to make and erect the signs saw any value in that.
