Default Really potent parsley

I made another batch of pasta salad tonight. Almost the same as the last but
instead of the white beans I used snow peas. Also added an additional bell
pepper and another an of black olives at Angela's request. But the big
difference? The parsley!

Normally I use curly parsley for this salad because it is cheaper. But the
last time I used some organic flat leaf. I only got that kind because I was
shopping with a friend who unlike me does not start at one end of the store
and go to the other but seemingly does things at random. I can't tell you
how many times we were in that produce department. And I wasn't even
planning to make the pasta salad at first but when I did decide to, I was
standing by the organic so I bought it. But... That parsley wasn't
impressive. Tasted okay. Not much of a scent to it.

Today I bought the regular flat leaf at the same store. The regular curly
was looking a bit brown. OMG what a difference! This was so full of scent it
was assaulting my nose. And the taste is out of this world! I liked it so
much, I put the whole bunch in. Yum!

Glad you discovered flat leaf. The curly parsley is an abomination and should never be used.

I much prefer curly leaf parsley for most uses, it's sweeter than flat
leaf. Flat leaf parsely being slightly bitter works well in strongly
flavored dishes like tomato sauce and beef stews. Curly leaf parsley
works well in chicken dishes, especially chicken soups, and also with
uncooked dishes such as salads of all types (flat leaf would ruin a
creamy egg salad). I grow curly leaf parsley, not flat leaf. Each
year I have a small flat (4-6 plants) of curly leaf parsley growing in
the ground at my rear deck, easy to get to for cooking, and produces
more than I can possibly use. The one time I planted parsley in my
garden it was a chore to get while cooking so most times I'd do with
out. I don't even need to be dressed to get parsley by my deck, it's
only like six steps from my back door and no one can see me there. My
vegetable garden is a good 250' away. I like that spot for my garden
because there's a natural spring flowing there that even during the
dryest weather keeps my garden moist so I do very little hose
watering:

I plant parsley in that bed at the side of my deck stairs, right at

Curly leaf parsley has a wonderful taste and is sweeter than flat
leaf. With its grassy taste I can understand using it to battle
something like oregano, otherwise, curly is great. Of course, I grow
my own, so I have fresh picked parsley at all times. It may be that
if you have to buy your parsley that flat leaf stands up to sitting
around in the refrigerator case better.

I find parsley has such a delicate flavour that its only use for me is
decorative.

Parsley
Cilantro
Blue cheese
red beet

As if!

The reason I discovered organic food has nothing to do with GMOs,
antibiotices, etc. I was a simple case of growing tired of what
passes fer flat-leaf parsley, anymore. It's bad enough most produce
depts put the flat-leaf right next to the cilantro, making it
difficult to tell the two apart. I started tasting jes to tell the
diff.

What I discovered was, due to big Ag's production methods, both herbs
have been rendered almost flavorless. I actually started using curly
parsley instead of flat-leaf jes to get some parsley flavor.

Then, I discovered organic parsley. It had even more parsley flavor
than curly parsley. Parsley 10X! Give organic parsley a try. I
notice curly parsley has almost disappeared from produce shelves.
Organic may soon be yer only option if you actually want some flavor.

I didn't just discover it. I had tried it before and found it to be rather
flavorless in comparison to the curly. This made me wonder why people said
it was better. Apparently I finally got a good bunch. I guess the key is to
sniff it before I buy.

I could never understand the fascination with parsley. Never liked the taste...all it is good for is decoration.

It tastes really good to me! I miss the days when a sprig was put on

I love the stuff, I'll probably have some with my poached eggs this

I've tried flat leaf a few times and find it to be just plain blah.
Curly has much better flavor.

True, although I haven't tried it myself. I remember some years ago
seeing it available on eBay. If I looked I would find some in the

Tastes vary. I love a salad that is about half parsley sprigs and
