Qatar: Man Arrested For Smuggling Bacon In His Anal Cavity Customs officers at the Hamad International Airport, in the Qatari capital, have arrested a Yemeni man attempting to smuggle more than 12 kilograms (27 lbs) of sliced bacon hidden in his anal cavity. 53-year old Abd al Rahman Shamoun, was spotted by a specially trained police dog, looking for drugs or pork meat on passengers and in their luggage. He appeared visibly nervous and sweaty, so the customs took him in a separate office for a more thorough search and investigation. The search revealed 4 larges condoms hidden in his anal cavity, each containing more than 3 kilograms of bacon. People ingesting or inserting illegal drugs, money, jewelry, or weapons in various cavities, is a rather common practice and airports around the world are used to dealing with such cases. This is the first time, however, that bacon is discovered during a cavity search. Due to Qatars strict laws regarding pork meat and other food that isnt permissible or allowed in Islam, Mr. Shamoun faces some very serious criminal charges. Accused of possesion of controlled substances, trafficking controlled substances and illegal importation of controlled substances, he could now face the death penalty, with a minimum of 50 lashes and 15 years in prison. |

Nom Nom!! :-) Meat candy!! I like bacon, but not as much as I used to. A little goes a long way for me now. I seem to eat more ham than bacon ATM, I've been making deviled ham and toasted ham sandwiches with various other fillings a lot lately. Probably just a phase I'm going through. |

Depends on the bacon. All the stuff in grocery stores is crap compared to Circle B Ranch's hickory smoked bacon, in my experience. Circle B's bacon fries up into little slabs of YUMMY meat and lots of fat, much of which renders off in cooking! YUM!!!! John Kuthe... |

It must have been beef bacon because that story sounds like a lot of bull. Twelve kilos of bacon.... 27 pounds..... shoved up his ass? Go to a grocery store and stack up 27 one pound packages of bacon. Use you imagination to picture it without the packaging. I can think of a couple people here who might enjoy fantasies about having it shoved up their butts, but in the real world, I just can't see it happening. > > 53-year old Abd al Rahman Shamoun, was spotted by a specially trained > police dog, looking for drugs or pork meat on passengers and in their > luggage. > > He appeared visibly nervous and sweaty, so the customs took him in a > separate office for a more thorough search and investigation. > > The search revealed 4 larges condoms hidden in his anal cavity, each > containing more than 3 kilograms of bacon. > > People ingesting or inserting illegal drugs, money, jewelry, or > weapons in various cavities, is a rather common practice and airports > around the world are used to dealing with such cases. > > This is the first time, however, that bacon is discovered during a > cavity search. > > Due to Qatars strict laws regarding pork meat and other food that > isnt permissible or allowed in Islam, Mr. Shamoun faces some very > serious criminal charges. > > Accused of possesion of controlled substances, trafficking > controlled substances and illegal importation of controlled > substances, he could now face the death penalty, with a minimum of 50 > lashes and 15 years in prison. > |

I confess that I didn't read that far because I went to Snopes and to Google to try to find a site that would debunk it.... and failed. Those look more like one pound packs. The asshole, which he obviously must be, must be nuts. If he could cram that much bacon up his ass he would have been way further ahead by putting his peculiar talent to use smuggling drugs or diamonds. Twenty seven pounds of bacon would sell for about the same price as two grams of cocaine. > >> Go to >> a grocery store and stack up 27 one pound packages of bacon. FWIW, contraband usually gets there via the normal route. Still seems like an unbelievable story. nancy |

In smuggling, concealment in body cavities is common. Women have had fake pregnancies concealed contraband. Fake breasts too! > > Still seems like an unbelievable story. > > nancy Totally plausible! The story claims "12 kilograms (27 lbs) " Nobody's anal cavity would accommodate that much. The pic looks more like 1.2 kg, which is 2.7 lbs. I'm betting someone left out the decimal places.
