He is a dangerous wild card - the whole scenario currently makes me
think of a Chinese expression, 'may you live in interesting times' -
we are I think but the expression is not suggesting they will be nice

Yes, it's not domestic U.S politics that concerns me the most, it's
foreign relations that's a real worry. You could hardly come up with a
more unsuited person for the role, imagine other nations trying to
engage with that peanut...

Anyway, I've said all along that I expect the democrats to win this
election and my opinion hasn't changed on that score.

Although used all the time in the American news cycle by nearly every
talking head, "U.S. led coalition" is a oxymoron. If you're comfortable
with that, vote Hillary.

Trump worries me most because he is so secretive. Tax returns? It is apparently
nobody's business. Foreign policy? He wants to be unpredictable, but he likes
war even with nukes (his own words). VP running mate? He has a list but won't
reveal it pre-convention. Policy statements? He hasn't made any substantive
statements, only vague sound bites (I will create so many jobs!).

This and more brings up the question, what is he hiding?

I keep up with things somewhat during the primary season but why waste
time on candidates that will eventually drop out? Once the 2 conventions
both make their choices, that's when I do lots of research on the two
main candidates.

I see loose cannon vs broken cannon. I like Ed's idea of a 90 day trial
run. As of now, I'll go for a 4-year trial run with the Donald. Time to
shake things up in Washington. We should all vote for a completely
different Congress too, Democrat and Republican. Get rid of the "good ol
boys." Politics was never originally intended to be a career job.

These long time Pubs bitching about Trump? Seriously? Pubs support big
business and Trump is just that. (and so are most of them). Some of them
will vote for Hillary just because they hate Trump? Their choice but it
shows how loyal to the party they are. Vote them all out. Time for a
clean sweep and let's see what happens. I'm tired of the same ol same ol
nonsense time after time.

I'm willing to take a chance on a whole new situation. Non-usains here
that fear Trump? That again tells me that we should elect him.

Gary, the problem with your scenario of "throw them all out," is that has been the feeling
among many voters for the past two presidential elections....all that happens is that we
get a new crop of corruptible pandering pols.

Trump has already said he'd like to use nukes on some brown people...

Gary's a ****ing moron and doesn't realise the consequences of that
sort of stupidity. This theme of wanting the world to fear the US is
something he's brought up many times. He's like a poster child for
what the ROTW view as the stereotypical ugly American.

I heard an old comedy bit this afternoon. An American comedian was
talking about the British and their attitude about Americans and how
heckler one once asked what the Americans had done for them. He said if
it wasn't for the US the guy would have been heckling in German. That
would indicate a lack of understanding of history on the part of one of
them. Germany had planned to invade England. They started with the
Battle of Britain with the aim of annihilating the RAF to achieve air
superiority. The British won that one and thwarted the invasion attempt.
By that time they had already been fighting Germany for two years, and
the Americans had not yet come into the fight. Apparently, the British
not speaking German had nothing at all to do with the Americans.

Of course, but when did facts ever form part of their (being that type
of person) fanciful version of history.

BTW... found Gary's latest selfie online:

No, no, say it can't be true ! Hollywood has always said that WWII
was only won because America rode in on its horse.

And YOU are a pot-smoking, name-calling sheepherder living in the
mountains of Tasmania so concerned and critical of other countries
politics. You have the world's freshest air there and you also have the
most ignored world politics opinion. No one but you cares what you
think.

Have a g'day.

LOL! I actually do know people like that. Got to wonder if that was
real
or just a faked pic. Lots of still pre-civil war racist "good ol boys"
here too. Funny.

Anyway...right back at ya. A pic that was probably taken in Tasmania and
specifically meant for you. heheh

Actually, you do scare your allied countries. It is not just a small

It's quite an old pic, IIRC it was for real, I recall it was part of a
set of pics I saw years ago.
