My parents were great friends with Gene and Margaret as my parents owned The Inne on Beach Lane in WHB. So, we would go all the time and I absolutely loved it. We stayed in touch with Margaret as she was in South Fl where mom and dad would go in the winters, but I do believe Margaret has passed on too. If you remember any of the combinations and want to share, it would be GREAT..I haven't found any place like it in my 61 years on the planet! |

I don't think those sandwiches have changed much for more than 50 years and have always been popular. However I think lately the "wrap" is gaining ground quickly... had one yesterday from a Lung Guyland supermarket deli that beats the buns off any fast food mystery meat burger, arrived home in a cooler; real roast turkey, swiss, lettuce, dressing on a large flour tortilla, I could only eat half, says how huge it was, really enough for two. The trip was to drop the grand off at camp, this will be his 2nd summer, they liked him so much they wanted him again so he gets to go for free. He's the camp's fishing pro. I got him interested by fishing in my pond when he was three, now he's twelve and has become an expert fisherman. |
