OMG, you don't?! WTF, Cheri! If I felt like it and knew how to
spell it correctly I could type the same thing in Thai. I'm pretty sure
it would translate to WTF. Heheh

Grass fed beef is typically too devoid of fat for producing decent
burgers... but that said there is no way to know what/who is in
preground meat, ALL preground meat should be considered Mystery Meat,
there's no way to know if it's grass fed because fat content depends
on which cut and how trimmed, and fat trimmings can easily be added.
Preground can't be considered organic either, in fact there is no such
thing as any organic food, only organic fools who don't seem to mind
over paying for a fairy tale. I've said it before and I'll say it
again, the ONLY way to know what/who is in ground beef is to grind it
oneself. I've no idea why so many are averse to taking 15 minutes to
grind a ten pound roast; 5 minutes grinding, 5 minutes clean up, 5
minutes packaging bulk or 20 seconds forming/packaging per burger.

There are heat alerts out up here because it is supposed to hit 31C....
87F. That may sound cool to you.

There's a reason why it's perfectly acceptable to talk about the F-Bomb on
tv instead of saying the word. I think initials work very well and don't
sound at all obscene to me, one thing that always astounded me was the use
of the "C" word that a lot of people from the UK use for anybody, men and
women alike.

No, it doesn't sound cool. Anything around 80F is too hot for comfort.
Which is why I have AC and fans and I use both.

The "C" word is one I find really offensive. I did remember the "F
word" in Thai: "Yet". What the Yet! (laughing)

LOL at the Yet, and yes I find that word offensive too. I think men who use
it are DF's. ;-)

LOL! Dave, my daughter lives in Fort Myers, Florida. She sets her
house Air Conditioning on 80F. When I visit, I have a Portable Air
Conditioner in the room where I sleep, set on 70F. I also pay her
higher electric bill while I'm there.

It has been a most interesting thread to return to.

I had been used to bad language from many people here, but there are a few
from whom I had *never* seen such, so I was taken by surprise.

I guess I was a little shocked simply because I had not expected it from
that
person. Odd how one imagines some people are different

I will not be shocked in the future because I shall now know to expect it

That is all I have to say on the matter.

I guess you never reread what you post here, in this "mixed company",

Honestly, I find some people can be wholly 'proper' and not use
so-called cuss words and yet still be highly offensive. To me, it's
the intention that matters, not the specific words used. Anyone who
has a problem with 'WTF' needs to get a life and stop being so narrow
minded and judgemental. And maybe take a good look at themselves while
they're at it.

Well let me tell you that the American kids will be influenced by the swear words from your isles - some of them are quite lovely.

I'll have to write them down as I come across them. It's not the kind of thing my brain tends to retain. The one I learned last night was "chav." ****** I believe, is Austrailineese.

Ricky Gervais is the worst! I like him but I can not stand that word. He
referred to bull fighters as sequined C's. I thought that was funny but I
would have use something other than the C word. The first time I heard it, I
didn't even know what it mean but it sounded nasty.

Jewsh and Bruthe, two MONUMENTAL down under FAGGOTS. I'm positive
that at minimal 90% of down unders are HOMO POS! Faggots obviously
can't cook, faggots can suck peepee and take peepee Greek style.

The "C" word is very trendy! It's no country for old folks.

I would thrive in 60-something weather. I'd have the windows open and
fans blowing. Great sleeping temps.

And here he's drunk.

That, boys and girls, is what happens when a man can't hold his liquor.

Come on, it was totally tubular!

Hey, she started it. <G>

Julie said she was not sure what two of these tubular meats were. She
bought them anyway. I don't know about you but I don't buy anything
(especially not food) if I don't know what the heck it is.

I'm not going any further than Google maps, but it looks like Beaufort
is slightly South of Tijuana, Mexico. No wonder your 60 degree
weather is balmier than her 60 degree weather. Her ocean breezes are
cold and yours are warm. It makes a noticeable difference in overall
comfort levels. Look at water temperatures for July 1-15 on this
table and compare Seattle to Charleston.
https://www.nodc.noaa.gov/dsdt/cwtg/all_meanT.html
Your water temperatures are similar to Bermuda and Samoa. Hers are
similar to Sitka, Alaska.

I have. Good way to try new things. I'd not spend a lot of money in

In the movies they use it for everyone, and remember Beav? He used it all
the time for everyone as well, the sex didn't matter, woman or man.

I thought she said she bought 4 different kinds of tubular meat... and
then the discussion began. I thought she was talking about sausages,
but someone said in the thread that s/he thought they were chubs.
People use very strange language here. I'd never heard anything
called a tube steak before reading it right here on rfc.

You're right. I like to try new things without knowing exactly what
to do too. In fact, that's the way I shop when I don't have a
definite game plan. I just buy what looks good and figure it out
later. When the kids were kids, I used to buy what I called mix &
match - because I rarely ended up putting the same things on the plate
that I had envisioned going together when I purchased them. In fact
that's the way I am now. What I want to make today is usually not
what I want to make 3 days from now. For instance, I went grocery
shopping yesterday and bought a rack of ribs + some ears of corn to go
with them... but I served the ribs with coleslaw today, not corn. I
don't feel like doing it tonight, but tomorrow - I'll "roast" them,
cut the kernels off the cob and freeze them for later use.

That movie sounds like a colossal waste of time. I hate the c word
and stop listening when they start throwing it around. I don't like
blue humor. It's not funny.

So? They appeared to be things that my husband would like. He did. He's not

I said "tubular meats" because I bought 4 different things. Both sausages
and wieners. Why Jill thought it was a chub, I shall never know. In that
case, only the chub is tube shaped. Not the meat.

It wasn't just one movie, it's in a lot of British produced movies that I've
rented, and Beav was a poster in another group that was from the UK, he was
a good guy, was killed in a motorcycle accident, but he used that word as
everyday language to describe guys, gals, dogs, cats and just about
everything else, not in a mean way usually, just sort of like how some
people would say hello, how are you today. I never understood that.

I never said anything about us not cursing. Why do people not read what I
said which was just that I DIDN'T EXPECT IT FROM THAT PERSON.

Everything around here, if someone doesn't like what is written gets twisted
until they think the have a complaint!!!
