The new Walmart Super Store opened up here on Wednesday, it's huge, the paper said it was the second largest of their 5100 stores, and has just about anything I would want. I was there very early this morning and not many people there at all, also around a mile and a half from me and open 24 hours. First I went to Safeway, same thing, nobody much around, so I prefer it. If I have any complaints about the giant stores, it's the walking distance to different departments, but again, not many people blocking aisles etc. ![]() Cheri |

I shop early too but there are frequently women there in hijab, they laugh, joke and carry on just the same way I do - we have a tendency to do that here in NS. That's how I met my Palestinian friend Esam. We tended to be there frequently at the same time, eventually sat and had a coffee together and it progressed from there. |

I saw one in a sporting goods store about 5 years ago. It was selling for around a hundred dollars. The GoPro display playing a video was most impressive. I realized that it was going to change everything. It did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eS8uanVc6k8 |

The way our society worked was that people got married and the man was expected to work to support his family the wife stayed him and looked after the children. Families were larger and they did not have home freezers, automatic washing machines, dryers etc. Taking care of the kids and housework was a full time job. |
