None of the ads I see are local. It would take me at least three hours to get to Charleston. But hey, there *is* a Golden Corral in Beaufort. ![]() interest in going there. Jill |

Noted that it's a very popular recipe. I see no reason why I couldn't substitute blueberries. I might not even use lemon zest...that doesn't sound right to me. Just cook blueberries in some sugar? Regardless of what I do, thank you for the nice sounding idea. Like I really need to be making dessert food right now.. ;-o |

I learned the hard way with plums - I pressed them partway in and they sank too low to look as pretty as the picture... didn't show at all on the top. I was thinking the lemon zest could be combined with the sugar sprinkle, replacing cinnamon (which I don't think will work with blueberries). I wouldn't use very much sugar, just a light sprinkle. Lemon and blueberries go together very well, I used to make a nice lemon sauce to go over slices of blueberry quick bread/cake. -- sf |

There are homeless everywhere, not just in the urban centers... there are more homeless now than there were just a few years ago in the very rural village where I live... they are not burdonsome but they are here. Some here are living in cars. They use the bathrooms in supermarkets to clean up as best they can. Many are Veterans with severe health issues who the VA won't/can't help... they refuse to live in the sub par crowded conditions the VA supplies and I don't blame them, they are safer living on the streets. The few who congregate here will be gone as soon as winter arrives, there is nowhere to escape the bitter cold. |

The high price of housing and our balmy tropical setting makes Hawaii the perfect home for the homeless. Things are just nuts here. https://lintvwkbn.files.wordpress.co...mp-assault.jpg |

Nomadic in the sense they have no permanent home and are rousted regularly? Otherwise, nonsense. You think they just pull out the frequent flyer card and bop off to greener pastures? >The high price of housing and our balmy tropical setting makes Hawaii the perfect home for the homeless.
