TRUE!! Much more my preferred inebriant! And as I will continue to say until someone EVIDENCES me incorrect: No one in the history of humanity has ever died from smoking too much cannabis!

To be called gin, it must have juniper berries as part of the mix. The
other botanicals can vary wildly, but if you don't like the juniper you
will probably never find one you really like.

Yep. If you don't like juniper, drink vodka.

That's why I like Boodles Gin. Lotsa juniper to stand up to all that
Vermouth, which I also very much enjoy. I like my martinis wet
---even dirty.

lol, guess what I just poured - Bombay, Cinzano and masses of ice, it
was all this talk of gin that did it.

Kidneys Liègeoise are cooked with a few juniper berries and then
flambéed with gin.

I'm sure of that since I do not like juniper at all.

From what I see around here, there is a strange paradox. The people who
shop at Walmart tend to be on the low end of the income scale, the
people whose income is low because places like Walmart buy so much
merchandise from overseas suppliers and the local manufacturing jobs
have gone off shore. The people who eschew Walmart are more likely to
be those who are more economically secure.

I had to go in once when they first came because my SILs medical
insurance insisted prescriptions had to be filled there. My daughter
gave me grief (probably rightly so) when at first I wouldn't agree to
pick up my grandsons medication there. So I swallowed hard and went
to pick it up.

While waiting I had a look around. I saw cheap goods, clothing with
miserable, cheap little hems etc and an HP laptop that looked good
until you saw it was a junk HD inside. I heartily disliked their
attitude (rather like Costco) of blatantly assuming you were there to
steal.

I live in a rural area with a lot of fruits and vegetables and always
buy local produce in season, even if it costs more. The corn I am having
with my dinner tonight was picked this morning. The strawberries we had
yesterday were picked yesterday morning. Most fruits taste a lot better
when eaten as soon as possible after
picking. It is also income for my neighbours and that keeps the money
local.

I still say 4 oz of gin and 6 oz of diet 7 up or diet sprite is very tasty, gin and diet gingerale mixed the same way is ok too.

If I had a rock band I'd use the name Gin Farts as the bands name.

I'm a fan of Kirkland Dry Gin (Costco product). The price is good, and
the flavor is good, too.

Don't you like it when people use their brain a bit, rather than all act

We've got a friend who likes martinis, but she's completely indifferent
as to whether there's any vermouth involved at all. I once said,
"Barb, if you'd like a glass of gin with an olive in it, just ask."

I occasionally have a shot of gin on the rocks with a twist of lemon.
We usually have Blue Sapphire or Tanguary.
