Show business is tough. A number of people in my wife's family are
actors, some of them quite successful and others gave up. They make
good money when they are working, but they started their careers
spending more time looking for work and auditioning than working.

Exceptional people, like regular people, don't want to be defined by their talents or handicaps. OTOH, when have we ever not exploited the talented and try to sweep the handicapped under the rug? One has to be careful about dreaming a dream because sometimes it comes true.

I found Tape Face tiresome after a few shows, don't know how he made it to
the semi's. I like Grace and also Laura, I'm not a huge opera fan, but that
girl is amazing. Gary if you want to discuss AGT the old American Idol group
discusses them each week. alt.tv.american-idol, not sure if you're
interested, but thought I'd mention it.

Yeah, me too. Fact of the matter is, all singers starting a career are
hoping for money, if they weren't they would only sing for their own
enjoyment. I see no exploitation in giving someone a chance.
