Mine still has dry ferret food residue inside. I once used it to powder whole cloves. I had clove coffee for a few pots. |

I make stroganoff fairly often, and yet, I don't eat the mushrooms. My signature rice dish has mushrooms in it, I don't eat the mushrooms. -- jinx the minx |

A pound of dried is a lot of 'shrooms: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_s...ld+m ushrooms ============ I pick and dehydrate mushrooms myself. I never like rehydrated mushrooms, they seem slimy to me so I always turn them into powder. -- http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk |

They taste like dirt. As far as dislikes go, they are second only to shrimp. That said, I think my rationale for buying them was it would be good to have some freeze dried ones around for salads or sauces when I wouldn't need a huge quantity. Something to experiment with. My kid won't eat them either, but my dude loves them so I don't shy away from recipes that contain them. We adapt. :-) -- jinx the minx |

On a rack in the produce section. Now to turn them into powder. I have a small B&D 3-cup chopper with a fine mince choice. Think that will work? Also have a full-size food processor. Never tried either with dried stuff. TIA -- You know it's time to clean the refrigerator when something closes the door from the inside. |
