Touché. And you need to cook the meat on a high heat to get a good Maillard
reaction. Nothing beats the taste of the Maillard layer on meat.

The Gardenburger things aren't bad. Load them with condiments and enjoy.

Other than that, go to a health food store and buy the dry soy mix to
make your own faux burgers. Not bad, imo.

YES! The morningstarfarms kind was what I was talking about. They are
pretty good even for meateaters.
