The gall - he feels it is okay because he has served time, lost his wife and house and is making every effort to repay the money the jury ordered he should repay. Am watching that election with interest and have to say, if he were a she, I bet some nasty things would be said. |

You can rinse them off in a bowl with water and some white vinegar if you're worried. This is for exterior dirt and pesticides, of course. Search online for proportion. nancy |

Before bringing in veggies from my garden I rinse everything in a bucket of water, only to get most of the dirt off (soil, bird poop, etc.), I use no chemicals... also removes a lot of creepy crawlies from leafy items. Once indoors I wash everything carefully before it goes in the fridge, and again before using. The fools can always easily tell that they've wasted their dollars buying produce labeled organic when there's no evidence of creepy crawlies. |

Medicine not being a science it's often very difficult for MDs to know what illnesses are present... very often there are underlying causes that they have no way to identify. One in particular is Lupus... countless thousands of people have had knee replacements because of joint deterioration thought to be due to arthritis when in fact it is caused by Lupus. Up until very recently there were no tests for Lupus but now there are genetic tests that will indicate Lupus and which type. Lupus is treatable and when caught early enough joint deterioration is minimal. Knee replacement does not cure Lupus, the disease is like a parasite and will move into other parts of the body, typically the liver, kidneys, the heart, and other vital organs. Anyone with knee problems whose doctor recommends replacement needs to be tested for Lupus. Naturally the knee/joint replacement industry is huge bucks so the sergeons and appliance manufacturers will say nothing. Rheumatologists perfom Lupus testing. Lupus is inherited, that was the clue to explore genetic testing. |

Probably plastic and not a metal bucket since metals react to stuff. I think I'll just get one of those 5 gallon plastic buckets from Home Depot, Melons would fit nicely. William |

Most people's toilets are more sanitary than their kitchen sink... people flush toilets very often and disinfect fairly regularly... hardly anyone disinfects their sinks, in fact most people leave dirt dishes in their sink all the time... to me a kitchen sink with dirty dishes is no different from an unflushed toilet. |

I have to agree with you. In most cases, picture-perfect produce was grown with plenty of pesticides unless you just get lucky one year. Truly "Organic" veggies all have bug defects. |

And no, I didn't steal it, I got a pile of them for free when Times Square Stores (TSS Seedman's) went out of business... they make a handy dandy tractor basket. You can just make out the TSS: http://i68.tinypic.com/2r3ggh0.jpg Most smaller tractors don't have a place for carrying tools and stuff (even large tractors), tying on a market basket solves the problem: http://i65.tinypic.com/a0b7sg.jpg Bet yoose didn't know that farm cats can drive tractors: http://i63.tinypic.com/2wohp8p.jpg |
