My point was that young people see cloud computing differently than people that grew up with the advent of the age of computers. Old folks see computers as a big boxes, young folks will see it as virtual machines. The cloud is the computer. Obviously a wired network is likely to be more secure than one that broadcasts data through the air. Does that matter a whit? No.

OK pal, the truth is that you win. You've frittered away my precious time. I will be gracious and accept defeat this time. OTOH, I won't allow you to play me ever again.

You just need a diabetic friend who will give you a vial of insulin
(given you are not diabetic) and for good measure after you inject the
insulin, take a handful of Aleve, or Naprozen and voila, you're gone.

I had it after my knee replacement and it made me really ill, my files

The problem is that you and dsi1 don't know what the "cloud" is. You're
two blindfolded people trying to show others the way. It can be
entertaining though. So please don't stop on my account.

I won't. Of course you do realize I scoff at you as much as you scoff
at me. Steve can blow it out his ass the way he usually does.

Bend it anyway you want. You always do. I am not the head case you
obviously are and the only way I'd off myself is to hurry up an
already impending death... to make it clear enough even for you to
understand: late stage terminal illness.

For those that care to use them great, but in my lifetime...not for me.

Vista has been fine for my needs. Win7 is good too as far as I can tell, but
as I said, I don't do a lot with my computers, burn a few CD's things like
that, spreadsheets for the business, accounting, emails, simple things.

So you don't believe that the younger generation sees computers differently
than old folks? It none of my business what you believe in. What's it got to
do with me? You old guys crack me up!

========

Yes, I believe the younger generation sees computers differently, they are
being raised with them, never knew anything different, second nature to
them, for that matter they see most things differently, as does just about
every generation that follows the previous generation.

I know Vista has been a pain for many people who are computer savvy, but it
has been fine for me. There are no updates for it anymore, but I don't need
updates. Win7 seems fine, but I've been nervous about switching to Win10.
I use Win98 for most of the old games I play, and also because it has a huge
library of Napster on it. Yes, I know...but I'm not deleting them and it's
not connected to the internet anymore at any rate.

Not a particularly good choice, since people that try usually end up in a
vegetative state instead of dead.

What's surprising is that this would have to be stated. You would think that everyone would already know this. You would be wrong.

I didn't have problems with Vista. It was as if the people that bitched about Vista never used it. There seemed to be a beat Vista down bandwagon/hysteria.

That sounds like a much better plan than no food or liquid, though hopefully
none of us have to be instituting the plans for a very long time.

I never cared for Apple and have been trying to warn people about Google for
almost a decade. However, I would like to work for Google - please.

If you ask me, anybody that thinks Windows is not a fat, bloated,
unreliable, OS has never spent any time with Windows. These days, when
there's a chance to ditch Windows, everyone seems to think it's the greatest
thing since sliced wafers. I think all y'alls are insane!

============

Personally, I love Windows98 the best of any of the Win OS's, I would not
want to ditch Windows but then I am not reliant on a computer to do a wide
range of things as many people are. I'm one of those "simple users." LOL

Cheri
============

Win98 was my absolute favourite! I was really sorry when mine went down the
tubes

You just need a diabetic friend who will give you a vial of insulin
(given you are not diabetic) and for good measure after you inject the
insulin, take a handful of Aleve, or Naprozen and voila, you're gone.

Much easier to have a good few drinks and then inhale helium.

"Cause of death[edit] Inhalation of 100% pure helium (which is not mixed
with oxygen) causes rapid death due to oxygen deprivation (since the helium
displace the oxygen).when breathing pure helium inside a plastic bag,
unconsciousness follows after about 5 breaths."

Apparently one doesn't get the panic one would normally get from lack of
oxygen.

I thought it would be a great idea and showed my wife the photos. "get
the hell out of here" was her reply. I don't understand that attitude.

Clearly you know more than a doctor friend, I chose to believe him.

If you're already stupid, and are self-medicating for having a shitty
life, it probably sounds like a good idea. Once you're hooked, that's
it.

Every time I have dental surgery, he prescribes about 20 Vicodin
and I take 2. I should see what I could get for them on the street

Or not. I doubt I'd like prison food (bringing us back on topic).

You mean he has a doppelganger? I know.

I love cooking with wine.
Sometimes I even put it in the food.

It's progressing cuz it's yet another goal of big biz to not pay for
labor. Big Biz is looking to reduce labor and its anti-slave-labor
inevitables, unions. People do not want "self-driving" cars. Business,
does.

My Dad said that his father's horse always knew its way home (early 1900s).
