He went in for a simple gall bladder operation and ended up dieing of liver failure from a virus that entered his bloodstream. He didn't smoke, he drank moderately, and he exercised every day. Yesterday when I was googling Wayne's corn souffle recipe I found the thread about everyone missing loved ones on Thanksgiving and the holiday season in general. I thank all of you for that, it really helped me. Elisa |

Like any other addiction, the potential for relapse is great. You will never get over your love of tobacco and nicotine and the desire to indulge will be with you till the day you die. It becomes easier to rationalize a step back as your body heals itself and your health improves. It's all too easy 2 or 3 years down the road to find yourself in a stressfull situation with some smoking friends and let yourself go for "just this one time". DON'T DO IT. Hang tough and persevere. notbob ...BTDT |

Enlisting the help of others is merely a crutch, support groups are the worst route, gives one a false sense of security in that it offers a place to lay blame other than on oneself... support groups are *pitiful* (literally), they are the route to guaranteed failure, don't do it.
