Default Arby's has the meats --- pork belly

The other night it was late and I was hungry and still a half hour from
home so I stopped at Arbys. As I pulled into a parking spot, a big sign
stated "Limited Time Smokehouse Pork Belly" What's a guy supposed to do?
Order one of course.

Thick sliced tender pork belly, fried onion rings, sauce, on a bun.

It was pretty good but not haven eaten for 12 hours may have helped. .
Sauce was a tad on the sweet side, but overall it was better than a
McGrease burger. It was $6.69

As an aside, for less than the price of that sandwich I bought six
chicken thighs for $3.76. Add some potatoes and a veggie and I'll have
two dinners and two lunches. I'll cook it in the morning before I go
out and just reheat it tomorrow night when I get home.

Just so long as you don't get seduced by Arby's before you get home)

I don't have high expectations at a chain fast food, but I've been
impressed with their brisket and corned beef too. I don't care for
their curly fries.

I've always loved their "horsey sauce."
Is that just horse radish and mayo? It's good stuff.
Hardee's had a good version of that too. I'd add it to a plain burger
and be quite happy.

I stopped by Arby's and tried the Pork Belly Sandwich. Quite unusual
and delicious.

Sounds very tasty. I might have to run up there this week to try one.
Or, alt.KFC....it's been a long time there too.

That said, Ed dissed McDonalds. I love the original Mcburgers.
Remember I told you that time in the 90's they were on sale for
25 cents each for a few months. Oh man. I bought 40 at a time and
practically lived off those boys until the sale ended.
Reheated in microwave tasted just like fresh-made. yum!

I'll look for that but since I had mayo and horseradish here now, I just
whipped up a combo. It's pretty tasty. Now I have nothing to use it
with. I think I'll put it on a microwaved potato later. Butter, s&p,
then top with this. I think it will be good.

I might also cook a few shrimp (no shells) to use it up. I do have a
16oz bag of 26-30 count.

I put my last remaining horseradish (prepared) along with a TBS of mayo
yesterday. It was tasty but I would have put more horseradish in if I
had it. The little bit I had I put on baked potato and also I cooked a
few shrimp and put some on. Good but wished I had made it stronger.

Prepared horseradish in on my grocery list now...HellofaGood brand (sp?)

Unfortunately, the nearest Arby's is over the mountains near Pearl Harbor. I sure would like to get my paws on one of those but that's not going to happen. I suppose I could go to the Chinese restaurant down the street and order kau yuk and buns.
