nancy, I don't k ow if this answers your question, but I have noticed that many
cooks (not necessarily chefs) say "salad" when they mean lettuce and/or tomato or other "fixings." I don't know why. Where I have noticed it is in shows featuring young or ordinary cooks. N. |
