Default Compost

I bought a new countertop compost bucket, I think it looks nicer than
my old one, and it has holes on top for moisture to escape plus it's
screened inside with a carbon filter to reduce odor but mostly to
eliminate fruit flies, and it works:

The grass seed by my gardeening shed that I've been watering has
sprouted and is growing nicely, it'll be spring before I know if my
two mulberry trees make it but I bet they will:

I have two nice top round steaks marinating for London broil, haven't
decided on go withs, but thinking braised bok choy and egg noodles.
Marinade is soy sauce, ketchup, a glug of olive oil, a smidge of
toasted sesame seed oil, freshly ground white peppercorns, grated
ginger root, a fat clove of minced garlic, juice of half a lemon, big
splash of Italian salad dressing, and a heaping Tbls of orange
marmalade. Will be tomorrow's dinner. Today I will forage the
fridge, may have Sabretts simmered in beer, and defrost a pint of pea
soup.

I've only been using it like three days, but no smells. My old one
didn't smell either but I didn't put any meat scraps in it and it was
ket covered all the time. I was mostly concerned about the fruit
flies and so far none with this one. The screened vent holes on top
allow moisture to escape so the veggie scraps dry out, so no smells
and no flies. Amazon sells it... more than 4,000 people bought it and
all love it:
