We had them on fresh Portugese rolls, with Guldens mustard on the
bottom, mayo on top, and some iceberg. Was very tasty and I have
enough for two more days... was Top Round on sale BOGO (priced
$7.49/lb but at half price ($3.75/lb) was a good deal). I bought two
steaks about 1 1/2 pounds each and desided to slice each in half and
cook them all. I could have cooked them more rare but we don't like
bloody beef. When I bought them I planned on grinding and making
burgers but then being so lean decided on marinated. We both like
oriental marinade.

That sounds really good. I can't get the photo to come up but it's
a config problem on my side. My phone overheated while charging
and melted to connector end of the cable. Lucky I didn't have a
fire.

That's not why I haven't been here though. I've only had the
energy for a little time on the internet - I was hospitalized for
liver failure and still trying to get the enzyme values back into
the normal range. I can't even remember if I've told you guys
this due to medication changes after the hospitalization. Damn
it's been a rough couple of months! If this is TMI I'm sorry.
But hell this stuff happens out of the blue and to anyone. Good
to be back.

Yup, Galaxy S3 that I'd had for years. Only change was a new
charger cable. I've read a lot about the same problem with these
phones since then. I only charge during the day now and in the
same room I'm in.

Thank you. Slow recovery. Hospital doctor blamed the liver
failure on one the medications I was taking. I was pretty stupid
about it because I hated doctors and the first time I got sick I
let it go for a week thinking it was a stomach bug or food
poisoning but I spent a week vomiting and unable to keep anything
down including water. It went away for the most part but in
hindsight I didn't take any of my medications because even those
wouldn't stay down. I felt better for about a week and it started
up again only worse, I couldn't work or even stay out of bed but
by then I was kind of afraid to know what was going on do I
didn't see a doctor until one night I couldn't take it anymore
and I called 911. I hadn't even told anyone other than my manager
at work how sick I was. Like I said, I was really stupid about
it.

Once off of the medication I started feeling better but even after
a month and a half I haven't really gotten my appetite back and
most of my protein and calories are from protein shakes with
fruit blended in. It's been rough. Before I seeked medical
treatment I lost 30 pounds in 3 weeks. It's still dropping but
I've been staying to eat a few normal dinners. :-)

I think the worst part was the dehydration. Sorry this got really
long but I just wanted to pass on that if a medication has a
possible side effect of liver damage, to take it seriously and
get the blood tests when the doctor orders them. Though in my
case my doctor was surprised by the cause because she'd never
heard of this with that med.

I've read about the overheating problem for years, but fire seems to
be the newest twist. Fortunately, researchers at Stanford University
have developed a lithium-ion battery that shuts down as it begins to
overheat. Until it becomes the industry standard, we need to pay
attention and replace batteries that overheat ASAP.

Thanks Sheldon. My GI hadn't received the results when I was there this
morning, but I'll see my primary care doc tomorrow and should know more
then. She's the one that ordered the blood work and I just forgot to
tell the lab to send to both doctors.

Thanks Greg. Yup, that was most of my point, get those tests done! I was
negligent about the last order, not the doctor. It was the most awful
kind of sick that I've ever felt in my life. LOL Thought I was a goner
for a while there.

Thank you. Everyone, thanks a lot for the welcome back and the recovery
wishes. It means a lot. I guess I spent most of my internet time on

I know that feeling. I went through something a couple years ago. I
thought it was a stomach flu and a relative who had it suffered for 5
days. My wife kept saying I should go to a doctor and I saw no reason
to. By the sixth night was was extremely dehydrated. My wife insisted I
go to the ER. No way I wanted to go and sit there with a bunch of sick
people, especially if if presented the possibility of having to puck
into an ER public toilet.

I agreed to go first thing in the morning. That night the paid started,
just bad enough that I could not get comfortable enough to sleep, so we
went at 6 am. There was no crowd there so not much of a wait and by 9 am
I had been admitted and surgery scheduled for the next morning. That
week of nausea was my body's version of a gall bladder attack and.
according the report, it was serious inflamed and there was necrotic
tissue.

Dehydration is a curious thing. You don't really feel thirsty. You
don't feel inspired to drink. Now you have me worried because I am on
statins for cholesterol and liver damage is a potential side effect.

I notice big sales on anything Samsung that has a battery...phones, washers, and
now a competing product to a Roomba vacuum device. I can't remember the
name of it.

Add my well wishes to all the others, Cheryl. You've had to deal with a
