Christie apparently escaped indictment for Bridgegate, but still could be impeached
(unlikely), charged with a criminal charge (also unlikely) or disbarred (because of ethics misbehavior) which doesn't need the same burden of proof as the other possible actions against him, according to the legal experts. In any case, however, he is tarnished goods in the eyes of Republican Party leaders and Trump would do well to choose others for senior positions in his administration, like AG. According to CNN, he can fill as many as 4000 Cabinet positions, including all the lesser ones. N. |
