If you don't need it, probably best to wait. It is nice to know that you will have some income for life if for any reason you don't have a job any more. I happen to have a job I like, so for me it is not "work". If I was on an assembly line putting the knobs on the radio as they went down the line I'd be long gone. |

Haven't tried that, but yes - I think I'd like it too. Might need to adjust the sugar ingredient though. -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |

While I was > there I got Christmas gift bags and some pretty felt ornaments. You can always grab a nice 2017 calendar for only $1. Compare to about $6 calendars in the grocery store. Dollar Tree is a very cool store. My nearest is only about 2.5 miles but still I rarely drive that far to shop. I don't like shopping much and I really don't like stores that open later in the morning. I like to get out shopping at 6am and not have to wait until 9 or 10 for stores to open. So far, only my usual grocery store opens that early. Then there is Walmart which is open 24/7 here. I like Walmart but rarely go there as it's about 9 miles away. In 6 months though, a new one will open only 1.5 miles away. I'll shop there often when it opens. I could shop there at 5am then get to my grocery store by 6am. By 6:30, all my shopping chores will be done. I'm looking forward to that. ![]() Anyway... the Dollar Tree is a cool store. Each time you go there are new things so it's always an up and down all aisles thing for me. I went several months ago and loved it. I need to go more often |

Speaking of which, my supermarket is still undergoing construction and I see they are putting in a Starbucks. I'm thinking that will bring in a lot of early birds on their way to work. Nothing much else going on there in the early hours. > Anyway... the Dollar Tree is a cool store. Each time you go there are > new things so it's always an up and down all aisles thing for me. Last time we were there Ron said What kind of store is this, there are no prices on anything!! Got a couple of strange looks but the important thing is it made me laugh. It's a fun place to shop, and more organized than other dollar stores I've ventured into. nancy |

I like the scenic calendars. Sadly, I bought one last year and it's still sitting here unopened. I ended up using a different one. I love the cool pictures on top and the large squares on the bottom where you can write in appointments and such. Anyway, since you mentioned Dollar Tree. I've put that on my shopping list for later this week. I do love that store and I always come away with a few good things. ![]() |

Dollar Stores are good for school supplies, calenders, auto deoderizers, and items you don't expect to last very long. Last time I found some nifty cat toys, and they have suet blocks for birds at half price. But forget tools/hardware, and anything electrical |

About two weeks ago I went and got one of their calenders. The paper is not that great and felt tip markers tend to bleed through to the other month. But I've found out how to make those calenders into the dry erase type. Now there is no bleed through! |

Thing is as I've gotten older there are very few people who I give gifts, most everyone I knew has passed on and those few still with us don't want silly gifts as they have everything... I typically give their favorite booze, or send a box of candy. This year I get off cheap, I have only five people to gift. |
