And always wash the can tops... I wash them all at once before putting them in my pantry. Last week there was a sale on Bush's Chili Beans, ten cans/$10, I bought ten of each, kidney bean, white bean, and black bean... an excellent product, especially for me who likes to snack on beans from the tin for those times I don't feel like cooking or washing dishes... makes for a healthful meal. They've been advertizing chili beans on TV like crazy, Bush's are much better than store brand chili beans, not very spicy but very tasty, easy to spice up for those who enjoy the burn on the way out. And they don't cheat, the can contains a full pound, not those cheating 14 1/2 ounces... to me that's ridiculous economics, the can, label, processing, shipping, etc., costs more than 1 1/2 ounces of beans. I'd rather pay a few pennies more for a superior product and I find Bush's beans to be a highly superior product... far better than the antiquated Heinz beans recipes. |
