Default Fruitcake

Ok, so I bought a fruitcake. I've had it before and it's good just
plain. This year, I thought I might infuse it with brandy or something
for the next month or so.

What I bought is "Old Fashion Claxton Fruit Cake"
It's extremely thick and dense.
Size is 2" x 1.5" x 8 inches long. It's one pound.

If I sprinkle on some booze every week or few days, I'm thinking I might
need to punch some nail holes in it just to let it get inside better.

Then I went to the ABC store for the booze.
Very high prices for apple brandy. I finally looked around the corner at
the often refered to "airline bottles."

I ended up buying two of those tiny bottles. each of them are 50ml.

Probably more expensive than buying larger amounts but all I need is a
few dribbles occasionally on this fruitcake.

One is just plain brandy....not apple flavored
The other tiny bottle is Jim Beam
"Apple liquer infused with Kentuck Straight Bourbon Whiskey"

Any suggestions of which to use? I'll actually take a small sip of each
to decide for myself.

Nevermind. I just tasted a small sip of each. That brandy only is
gagable. YUCK
The Jim Beam actually had a nice smooth taste with no "bite"
I'll definitely use that and probably just toss that brandy. It's not
like any brandy I've ever tasted before.

For those of you that like drinking hard liquer, you might want to try
this Jim Beam stuff. Even I like the taste of this. Would be good to sip
on a bit straight up.

Jim Beam is the gag-a-maggot of Bourbons. I won't even drink it when
offered fer free. ....and I drink Wild Turkey!
