I thought he was wonderful in Spartakus... Kirk made a crappy script
into something extremely memorable. I enjoyed it in Radio City Music
Hall in 1960.

'Sparticus' starring Kirk Douglas was right in the middle of the
SPECTACULAR fantastic era of 1950's and 60's Technicolor movies.

Tony Curtis was an acrobat. He might not have been able to whup Kirk
Douglas in a fight but he sure could beat him on a trapese!

I suspect you may be thinking of Burt Lancaster:

I usta get 'em all mixed up --Douglas, Lancaster, Mitchum-- also.

I saw Tony Curtis drive down my street in Moiliili back in the early 80's. He was in a big Lincoln and was obviously lost. He probably was a little panicked too, being in such an old neighborhood. Mr. Curtis is one of those guys that you think is alive but is actually dead.
