Default Decorating the Christmas cake

The cake J made has been fed for a month, marzipanned (yesterday)
and iced this morning. Just waiting for the royal icing to firm up a
bit before I put the decorations on the top. ( UK icing= US frosting)

They are all tiny, made of glass and I've had them many years. This
year's design is going to be;

a circle round the top edge, of green holly leaves with red berries,
a small forest of green Christmas trees standing in the centre
a pair of red and white santa boots beside some red parcels tied with
white string.

Next; making some brandy butter and cranberry sauce. Time to put on
the Carols at Kings College Chapel CD. It's beginning to feel a lot
like Christmas.
