Sounds like people I know! Cocoa's all about pot roast, chicken, oatmeal cookies, cake, any kind of cured meat like salami. Hard cheese. She likes people food. She gets bits and pieces, I can't lie. Not too much. She feels she deserves to taste what we're having for dinner. Cats are funny. ================ Not only cats ![]() Doesn't do too much for her diet though <g> Ahh it is Christmas ![]() -- http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk |

Think about it though, she was taken from the litter and lived all alone in a cage in a pet store. That's also a rescue, albeit a very expensive one. Anyway, we bonded immediately and she only always wanted to taste any new food that I made. The other ferrets weren't interested in much human food. Each dinner, Jackie was right there with me, checking out all the food on the plate. I didn't mind. We shared household germs anyway. I let her eat what she wanted. She was so cool. She liked raw corn on the cob. http://i67.tinypic.com/2hehddw.jpg ============= Aww nice pic and nice memories. -- http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk |

Something I never planned to do, ever. But we were going to a food/jazz festival and were talked into entering a pet store. She was there in that enclosure, all bright eyes and sweet personality. A wire fox terrier, so you can picture it. We went to the fair and didn't stay long. I said I can't leave that dog there. So we went back and got her. We say we rescued her, also an expensive rescue. Moral of the story, stay out of pet stores. > Anyway, we bonded immediately and she only always wanted to taste > any new food that I made. The other ferrets weren't interested in > much human food. Some pets are just like that. I never fed my pets much people food. This one just always asks. > Each dinner, Jackie was right there with me, checking out all the > food on the plate. I didn't mind. Waits around the corner for me to save her a small bite. > > She liked raw corn on the cob. > http://i67.tinypic.com/2hehddw.jpg Thank you for the picture! Such a pretty thing. nancy |

Some liked some things, most just decided it wasn't worth their effort. One did have a serious liking for asparagus spears, and would eat 2 full spears. Another loved Cheetos, and would cover her face in orange powder. And another wanted bread. he would find ANY WAY to get it, and if he found a loaf, would rip a hole in the bag and eat several slices. |

At the small Tops market in town they don't sell cases, only Loosies, and there are only women at the cat foods so I don't mind 'conversating'. It's rare I ever see men in the pet foods aisle at any store... come to think of it I rarely see men at Petco either. I don't buy cat food at Petco as their prices are high but they carry a huge selection of cat supplies like cat toys, beds, feeding bowls, etc. Petco also has live pets so if I'm in the area I like to browse the store. |

The ferals eat most any cat food but prefer to eat what they hunt... I can tell they had a good hunt because when they return to the deck they don't eat any cat food. Lately the possums have been eating the cat food on teh deck, what a pain, I wouldn't mind if they ate but those slobs dump the bowls over. I already trapped one and reloed it to the dairy farm, it's buddy hasn't been around since. If it returns the trap will go out again. If anyone is interested Northern Tool has the best traps, much better than Have-A-Heart. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...2254_200622254 |

Dry cat food is very important for cat's teeth, especially older cats. |
