Ceramic knives might be sold at give away prices, but now I know why. As inexpensive as they may seem, they are a waste of money. -- Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them. |

I have a good quality knife sharpener and a special hand held ceramic knife sharpener, but they are nowhere near as sharp as they used to be. The first few years I had them they were razor sharp. I don't think that they were abused. They just aren't as durable as steel. My wife still uses them regularly, but I tend to use the steel knives. |

That's been my experience with them, total waste. Cheri |

Seems to be holding up well. I was not sure how good they would be at that price, but we were pleasantly surprised. Give it a shot for the small monetary risk. |

My ceramic paring knife does beautifully in the dishwasher, but it's not really any sharper than my other knives. The tip is now missing, and I don't have any idea where it went. My favorite paring knives are Victorinox.
