So do I and it is a dead easy thing to remove. I just explained to a
friend the other night how to remove 'sent from my ipad' same sort of
thing.

=================

Is it only Avast, or sigs in general that you dislike?

I'll never use Avast again because of their bullshit sig spam. They
intentionally use the delimeter --- instead of -- so most newsreaders
won't edit it out when somebody hits reply. I complained on Avast's
forum about it, pity others won't go to the effort of doing so too.

Some mail services do that as well. Usually it's some honking big
sig as well and verrrry had to remove if you want to forward that
e-mail (with forwarded addresses removed as well as Fw: in the
subject line.)

Um, your wife gave you that pillow to place under her butt after
dinner while she offered you dessert. . .

Thanks. I thought of something like that but I don't think I'd want
the armrests. The large craft emporious sell large foam wedges that
one can cover with fabric, I thought of that too, but either way I'd
need to swap it for pillows just before I fall asleep. I guess I'll
have to keep procrastinating. I don't really want to order pillows
just to try them and then have to mail them back. One day I'll have
to actually go to a store that sells bedding so I can try a few
pillows. I'm so used to shopping on line now that's it's been years
since I've shopped at actual stores.

sigs in general that try to use you free of charge as their
advertising vehicle! You've paid for whatever, why should you do
that?

I had one years ago and it was nice to read the paper in bed
but like you said it's got to be removed before drifting off
to sleep. Then there's the problem of where to store the
thing when not in use as they are not small.

That's "your" free lunch, not ours.

Sig lines can be annoying enough without adding spam. You want me to
put a sig line in and tell you my user agent or can you discover it
yourself?

Yep, dead easy. Click the little cog wheel (settings) and *deselect*
(uncheck) Enable Avast email signature.

I dislike most sigs but the ones like Avast, which is pure advertising,
when you hit reply they don't disappear, are the most annoying.

When I used Avast I turned it off but really it is no more annoying than
your use of the "ß" in your JESUS for Krist's sake name.

That's the part I don't like, I'd fall asleep on that thing and wake
up with a crick in my neck. With four cats in the house it's rare I
get to sleep through the night, most nights they're constantly in and
out of bed and walk on me so they wake me up, but I don't mind,
they're great company.

Would you please tell me how to remove that 'sent from my ipad' thing?
I don't have an ipad but a lot of people around here do and every time I
get an email from them it proudly proclaims it was sent from their ipad.
As if I care. LOL In reply I sometimes append "sent from my laptop"
at the bottom. I don't know if they realize they're advertising the
product every time they send an email.

Please email me with the steps to remove it, if you're so inclined, so I
may share it with my friends. My address is not munged. Thanks!

I got the details from here

Start out by selecting Settings from your home screen.
Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars from the list on the left side of
the Settings window, and then tap the Signature (which by default will
be “Sent from my iPad”).
Use the delete button on your iPad keyboard to remove the
signature (or use the Clear button).

"Our Kool-Flow® Soft and Luxurious, Extra Breathable Micro-Vented Cover
Made In The U.S.A. with 43% Viscose of Bamboo, 56.4 percent Polyester,
..6 Percent Lycra KEEPS YOU COOL ALL NIGHT LONG!"

I get the soft and luxurious sales pitch. Polyester and lycra are not
"keep you cool" fabrics. At least not in my book. Is that where the
"viscose bamboo" comes in? I don't know about you but I use pillow
cases. Cotton pillow cases. I'm not sleeping directly on the
micro-vented pillow cover.

So, it's a chopped up foam pillow. "Eco-Friendly Biogreen® &
Certipur-US Certified Foam."

Okay. I, for one, do not like foam pillows. Doesn't matter if it's
chopped up foam or not. Don't like foam. I've got 6 pillows on my bed.
Two are in shams and are mostly decoration, leaning against the
headboard. They're likely fiberbilled. I have a couple of polyester
fiberfill pillows in pillow shams front of them. In front of them are
two feather pillows. When I want to sit up and read I'll move a feather
pillow to one side. Time to turn off the light? I move the feather
pillow back.

When it comes down to sleeping, I love my big fat feather pillows. No
special kind of feathers. They're fat pillows, standard size (all the
other pillows are king size). I fluff them out at night and can scrunch
them into any position I want. From a shallow sleeping spot when I'm on
my stomach and don't want my head raised high, to a nice big fluff of
pillow if I roll onto my back and want neck/shoulder support. I don't
wake up with neck aches or back aches.

That's my 2 cents on the pillow preferences. Good luck in your
search for a great pillow.
