That's the typical thinking of bullies - it's never their fault. He's just
asking for it and he's getting what he deserves, right?

There's no bullying going on here. Practical advice about being a
landlord, which, of course, he is incapable of listening to. He doesn't
even own the property but he's pouring money into it. I'm sure his
landlord is thrilled.
