Sadly, that is so true. Campuses are so poisoned by political
correctness that students and professors can get into deep shit if they
say or do anything that offends those who live their lives looking to
take offense. There is professor at UofT who has been under fire for
insisting on using gender specific pronouns.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/...ticle32946675/

A local university had a mini crisis last year when four make students
showed up at a Halloween party as the Jamaican bobsledding team. Three
of them were white and wore dark make-up. The other, being black, did
not need the make-up. The PC crowd rejected the "black face" as racist.
IMO, it was people dressed up for a masquerade party, not a the black
face routine used in segregated theatres.

Undoubtedly. I believe you expressed the same sentiments when disinterested
third party types thought it their place to comment on Brexit. I got my
feelings about Brexit but it's not my place to express it to interested
first parties.

It is obvious that the poster was making a joke about Garry Trudeau. People
that claim otherwise are either ignorant about this fact or they have
absolutely no sense of humor. Either one sucks.

I was wearing a tee-shirt that I got in Liverpool yesterday. It was an
X-large shirt with the Union Jack on it. Over here it would be a
large/medium shirt. This probably means something and it ain't good.

I guess some Yanks are disinterested in foreign (ex - US) doings, Ms. O. This is something of an old trait, that sort of "isolationist" thinking led to bad things like WW II. It's also "autarky", meaning that a country desires being self - sufficient, not much interaction with the outside world. Very dangerous, during the 30's all of the major powers acted like that, not a very nice result.

I am very interested in UK doings, first thing in the morning I turn to Page Three of the Sun...

It might cost them in some ways, but they figure they will make up for
it in others. From what I have heard and read, one of the major issues
is the influx of immigrants into the EU and their heading to the most
prosperous countries of north western Europe. Some of those are looking
for opportunity and that means more competition for jobs and it drives
up the price of housing. Then there are those that are heading there
because those countries have the best welfare systems. Combine that with
the culture shift. It upsets people.

That's why Theresa May's trying to crawl up Trump's backside. England
has a history of starting out nice to the wrong guy.

Yes, understandably. But that has little to do with the Brexit.
Refugees will still be trying to get into the UK.

There is an exception there. It is generally a bad idea to maltreat the
mentally retarded, so you can speak out in favour of the Trumpster and
be given a pass.

That's an odd thing to say. I don't keep score on who hates who around
here nor am I interested in playing that childish game. I'd be
disappointed if my kids ever picked their friends/associates in that
manner. I ain't a hater.

My son went to summer camp with him and remembers standing on a table

America is now responsible for Germany invading Poland? Wasn't it because Hitler sensed some weakness on the part of the Brits? Do tell.

Uh... what? If you think decisions made by the US government doesn't
have an affect on other countries you've got your head stuck where the
