Default Dinner Tonight

This morning I put up a 4 1/2 lb Top Round in a 12 qt pot to become
pot roast, with lots of veggies... it's almost done. I usually braise
the roast in beer to begin but this time after adding the beer the
devil made me add a 1/2 cup of the Mrs's rose'... huge mishtake,
tasted awfully sweetish. Fortunately I thought to fix that error with
two Tblsps of fresh squeezed lemon juice... naturally I didn'[t
measure, just squeezed in a wedge... the perfect repair... probably
wouldn't have thought to do that until I was preparing my Crystal
Palace. That swueezed wedge went into my glass and I cut another
wedge for my drink. This week rather than my usual Diet Sprite I
tried Diet Mist Twist, not bad but Sprite is better.
I occasionally enjoy drinking a glass of good wine but I never did
like the results of cooking with wine, I won't do that again. I'm
really not a wino, not since my best buds sent me off to boot camp
with most of a full gallon of cheapo white wine in me, took me two
days to fully sober up... I can easily handle a pint of vodka but two
glasses of wine does me in.

Sheldon, rose' is a horrible choice for a pot roast. You should use a good red. And not a cheap one either.
