Notice there's no worthy pizza west of Chicago (I can vouch for that,
the best west coast pizza is Shakys and Hut, crappiolla), and even so I don't consider deep dish style a pizza (it's a caserole), and I'm not too sure that kim chee pizza qualifies either. Naturally of the five boroughs only Brooklyn pizza qualifies, over whelmingly: https://www.departures.com/travel/re...Apr%E2%80%9917 |

There is certainly good pizza all over. Don't be such a pizza snob. |

I've made pizza from scratch. Thin crust, thick crust, varied ingredients. Doesn't really matter, pizza just isn't that interesting to me. I eat it a couple of times a year... doctored up frozen pizza. ![]() Jill |

Digiorno Pizza was absolutely fabulous .....for the first two yrs. They really were better than take-out. Then the company did an about face and it became tasteless garbage. Overnight!! Freschetta makes a decent pie, but plain crust makes up one full third of their round pies. I can't afford to pay premium prices fer plain crust. Despite the California Pizza Kitchen's exotic pies, the ingredients taste like they came from military MREs. Bottom line: I rarely buy a frozen pizza, anymore. I keep hearing comedians joke about how bad Papa John's pies are. The last two I had (everything) were absolutely fabulous. Better than anything I can get, hereabouts, including my locally available beloved Root Beer Pizza. ![]() nb |

I use whole wheat toast for the crust which at least makes it healthy.

One frozen brand that I found and is really good even without enhancing is the "Culinary Circle" line of frozen pizza's. http://culinarycircle.com/products/frozenfoods.html They have many varieties. I've only had the "rising crust, supreme" and it's so good. First frozen pizza I've ever eaten and not needed to enhance it first. The dough is raw too so you cook it like a homemade pizza and the taste is right. Normally cost about $5.00 or more. Just wait until they go on sale before you try one. Often on sale for half price or even less. One week they went on sale for $2.00 each. |
