Parts of northern Canada are worse. Up in Nunuvat groceries cost at least twice as much as they do down here. During the winter stuff is shipped on ice roads. During the summer coastal settlements are supplied by ship. Everything else is flown in, and that adds a lot to the cost. |

It was less than 2 bucks. I took this as a very good sign. |

I think one would need to acquire a taste for whale blubber and caribou soup etc. in order to live there |

I once had to accost a guy who lifted a video that I had dropped off at the Blockbuster return desk. This was a big kid. Boy was he surprised. He thought he was getting away scot free until I popped open my car door and blocked his way. I risked my personal safety/well being for a video tape. Ha ha. That was nuts. Evidently, I'm fearless when it comes to protecting my family and my video tape. ![]() |
