Default Soup tonight.

No recipe. Tried to buy things in small amounts so I didn't have a ton.
Handful of green beans, two yellow potatoes, handful of pink beans (dried
and cooked prior), small white onion, small can of corn, small zucchini,
carrot, celery, 1/2 pound cooked ground beef, fresh parsley, dried thyme,
oregano, salt, pepper, beef broth, V8 juice, a little tomato paste and a
parmesan rind. Veggies cut into pieces, about the size of the corn kernels.
Tomatoes and carrots were cut to be a little larger. Cooked until veggies
were tender then added a handful of baby spinach, cut in strips and a small
amount of fresh basil, also cut in strips.

Very good and not too much. Just enough leftover for someone to have another
meal or two people to have it as a starter.

For the soup hater in the house, I tried that omelet in a bag that is going
around on FB. She liked it but it was too much food. I wasn't too pleased
with the overall results. The eggs showed a lot of white. You are supposed
to crack your eggs into a high quality, gallon sized freezer bag, then
squeeze out the air and shake until mixed. This did not work. I had to use
my hands to squish the yolks. Then I shook. Looked okay at the time but
clearly wasn't mixed well. You can add whatever you like. I added a little
black pepper, red pepper, green onion, cheddar cheese and diced ham.

Mix again then seal the bag, once again, removing excess air. Drop in a pot
of boiling water. Supposed to cook for 13 minutes for 3 eggs, 15 minutes for
4. I used 4. I could tell that 15 min. would not have been enough. She likes
well cooked eggs. Husband probably would have eaten it. He likes runny eggs.

Boiled for another 3 min. Plopped it out on a plate, cut in half and...
Still runny. 30 sec. in the microwave fixed that. She liked it except for it
being too much food. Doubt I will make one this way again though unless she
specifically asks for it. I did read that this was excellent to make while
camping or if you have several people to serve who all want different
ingredients. Maybe. But to me, making an omelet the regular way is pretty
easy to begin with.

Sounds like a lot of work for no real reward. I'll just stick to using
a pan.

That's what I thought too.
