I don't like to throw food away on general principle. The expiration dates on food products have convinced the fat cats that food turns deadly after a certain date. I don't have this nutty fear of food and think it's damn arrogant to waste simply because you're able to. I won't do evil/destructive/foolish things simply because I'm able to. That's just my feeling on the matter. I got my rules and principles and I stick to them. If that offends you or you believe that I should change them to to be more in line with yours, you're plain out of luck. ![]() |

Most people who know to cook can tell when canned food has spoiled without opening the can. One of my cats can tell when a can of cat food has spoiled before I open it, all I need do is hold it by her nose and immediately she begins pawing the floor as though burying excrement in the litter pan, and she's always correct... sometimes those pull tab cans develop a minute leak and so they spoil... I always let Jilly sniff the cans before opening... those she indicates are spoiled I put out for the crows and they eat it... crows are carrion eaters. The ferals will sniff it but they won't eat that either. |
