Probably two dozen good posting people have gone away and very few new people. A few years back, many ISPs stopped carrying newsgroups and the decline started. There are a lot of people with internet access that never heard of newsgroups or Google groups. Anyone here with less than 5 or 10 years exposure to the groups? Doubt it. Newbies tend to go to Facebook and the like. |

Hi Terry,
Lets see if we can narrow in a little on what you are looking for in Fiber diets? Don't worry if these 2 don't match, I'm just narrowing the field. Here's 2 bread recipes. I centered on Oats. The first one may be a little on the dry side and need 2 TB more liquid, especially if using fresh apples. This set was in my eye as my apple trees are in full fruit now. I had so many, a friend came and picked 5 plastic grocery bags (partly full so they wouldn't bruise) this morning. MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: APPLE OAT BREAD Categories: Whole wheat, None, Oat, Breadmaker Yield: 1 Servings 1/2 c Water 1 1/3 c Bread Flour 2/3 c Whole-Wheat Flour 2 ts Nonfat Dried Milk 1 ts Salt 2 ts Applesauce 1/2 c Canned/chopped apples 1 tb Concentrated apple juice 2 ts Lemon juice 1 tb Honey 2 tb Yogurt,Plain, Non-Fat 2 ts Molasses 1/4 c Oats 2 ts Yeast 1 POUND LOAF Marie Frainier *DGCP02C* MMMMM MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05 Title: APPLE OATMEAL RAISIN BREAD Categories: Breadmaker Yield: 1 Servings 2/3 c Apple juice 1 tb Butter or margarine 1/2 ts Salt 1/4 ts Cinnamon 1 tb Brown sugar 2 tb Oat bran 1 c Oats 1 c Bread flour 1 ts Yeast At beep add: 1/3 c Raisins 1/3 c Apple; diced 1/4 c Chopped nuts; optional Recipe by: EAT-L, Donna German The Bread Machine Cookbook II MMMMM |

But I think if I had 'problems' I would know it! I certainly didn't know. I am not one to go around "liking" all sorts of things. I only looked when a friend pointed out that his wife suddenly liked all these things that he knew she wouldn't. He thought it was Zuckerberg or someone else with Facebook using us as a form of free advertisement. I had nothing better to do so checked my account. Sure enough, someone went in there and "liked" a ton of things, perhaps partly based on my age, such as TV shows that were around when I was a kid. And perhaps partly based on other things that I actually did like. Such as Tillamook cheese. The person who did this must have assumed I was a big dairy liker or something. All of a sudden I liked things like Yoplait and other yogurts, ice cream companies and even other places that make cheese. Just not cool. I would normally not even have a reason to check to see what I liked. Which is how they are getting away with it. And it was not just me. After I pointed this out, many others noticed the same thing. |

Newbies tend to go to Facebook and the like. Very true, Ed. All that I talk to here locally has never even heard of usenet. I always have to explain it. Most use Facebook or Google Groups. If Dsi1 thinks that Google Groups is the future trend, it's a sad future imo. :-( |
