This evening a friend called and asked me to join him for a motorcycle
ride to a dairy in Niagara on the Lake. He was going there to get some orange pineapple ice cream that they can't find anywhere else. I just went along for the ride on a lovely summer evening. While waiting in line there was an unruly child ahead of us whose name was Graydon .... which we heard many times as he ran back and forth. After a while she told him if he didn't come back he would not get his watermelon sherbet. My eyes lit up. I love that stuff and have not been able to find it for decades. My friend had an insulated bag and some ice packs and said he had room for another quart if I wanted to get it. So I did. I just home a while ago and stuck in the freezer....after I has a spoonful. It's as good as I remember it. Now I know where I can get more. |

Thank you for not spelling it "sherbert" ![]() sherbet is also very good. Oddly, I don't like eating watermelon, but the sherbet was very refreshing. I'm glad you found a source for it, Dave. ![]() Jill |

I had been riding a Honda Shadow and was happy with it..... until by friend and I traded bikes a few weeks ago. He has a 1200 Sporster. I had been thinking of upgrading, and after trying the Sportster I wanted one. The local dealer didn't have any 1200s in stock and they were almost twice the price. My friend and I trade bikes again last week and he loved my new one. I liked the Bolt better the Sportster. It's light, comfortable, fast and has lots of low end torque. My main problem now is keeping the speed down. It's hard to keep it down to 30 mph in town. Top gear and just the lightest throttle keeps me at highway speed.I have to be much more careful with the throttle. |

The only reason I know is name is because I heard it so many times when he mother was trying to get him to come back and stand in line. I guess she didn't want to risk losing her place. His only redeeming value is that I heard the threat about not getting his watermelon sherbet and I asked the mother about it being available there. I have not seen that stuff in stores in close to 40 years. |

When he came home to Honolulu, he'd bring this stuff back. It was packed with dry ice and wrapped in newspaper. It was most wonderful. https://www.yelp.com/biz/tasaka-guri-guri-shop-kahului |
