Still, this is a regatta. Pretty much sails only, I presume? Jill |

We have an iron-hulled oil tanker built about 100 years later. It's moored in Honolulu harbor at the moment. It was used as a maritime museum but now it's future is uncertain. My guess is that the Falls of Clyde will end up in Scotland; where it was built. Either that or it'll be scuttled somewhere off of Oahu. Maybe it will be sold to the Chinese as scrap. They would have been far too busy though, just existing. When we first came here I met a man at a cocktail party who related how his great-grandparents came here in late summer, bought a couple of horses and an open cart and were heading for Prince Edward Island. They were advised not to go, too late and they would likely get caught in the woods by winter and snow. They went with just a couple of sacks of spuds, her piano, two children and she was heavily pregnant. Somewhere in the woods winter caught them and one day when he went hunting for deer, he never came back. She survived, had the baby and ultimately made it back to Halifax. They sure made them very tough in those days! |

Assuming that people are posting the .jpg link, seems that postimage is redirecting to a whole page and showing all the advertisements - just like tinypic does. Jebus is the one that told us all about alt pic hosting pages. He mentioned postimage.org But he also included hostpic.org That's the better one imo. Click on this and see if it's better or not. It works well on my old computer but I'll have to look at it on my newer laptop to see if it also redirects to an html page or just shows the plain pic. Jackie was my home finance person. She hid my cash behind the sofa. Safe enough. http://www.hostpic.org/images/1708021428080101.jpg |
