Default Wanted: Old Cook-In REcipe

Hi,
Years ago I attended a cook-in. One of the recipes was brought by a fellow who lived on Vashon Island (he brought his little girl with him). The recipe was for skewers of pork and chicken (?) and the marinade had habinaro peppers in it. Does anyone remember his name or have the recipe still? I would be so grateful. Thanks. Ardi Butler

I asked at the RFC Facebook page. Here's the reply I got.

Bob Bowers I don't have the recipe, but you're probably talking about the 2000 Seattle cook-in hosted by Alan Zelt. Ivan Weiss brought his 8-year-old daughter.

woo hoo !!!! Found Ivan Weiss on Facebook. Here's what he told me.

" Not still a member, but that was my recipe all right. It's very simple.
Five ingredients, suit proportions to your own taste.
1. garlic.
2. sesame oil.
3. soy sauce.
4. Habeneros in any form
5. Apple, Pear, or Plum Butter.

Use fresh garlic and make a paste of the crushed garlic cloves and sesame oil before adding to the other ingredients.

Happy to help.

That's a good way to use it up. My wife buys it and I usually avoid it.
I broke down last week and had some on a biscuit. I was reminded why I
don't eat it.

I had some pork belly on skewers. This is uncured bacon with a sweet spicy Korean style sauce. It was just wonderful. I didn't make it but it's not too hard to guess what's in it.

Gochujang
Shoyu
garlic
jalapeno pepper
honey
sesame oil

It's too bad your parents weren't pillow biters. Were they proud to
find out you suck dicks, and there was no chance of you producing
grand-children?!

Why the personal attacks Sheldon? Surely you can rise above that.
It is a far more open society that it used to be.

That's very true, I've never pretended to be other than myself and I
take full credit for everything I post including the "crap". And I've
alwys used my real name (Sheldon Martin) and post under my real user
name (Penmart)... Pen because I collect fountain pens and mart for my
real name. Very early on I used Penmart10 for PenMartin. but AOL
farted and I lost that user name so I changed to Penmart01. I had to
wait six months before I could subscribe as Penmart10 and finally did
and was sucessful as no one else took that user name but I never use
it anymore although I could.

Only the filthy faggot douchebags pretend to be someone else... all
faggots are not real people anyway, they are all sideshow freaks.

I may have been mistaken...anyway the real Sheldon is not shy about the subject
and often blurts out similar crap. May the real author take heed of what I

Anyone that would post that kind of crap in the first place is not capable
of rising above it. Period.

I never read any of it. As for Sheldon, he is never backward in coming
forward with his views, no matter how unpopular.

What difference does it make whether you spread misogynist, racist,
homophobe bigot talk or whether someone else does it under your name?
The content is the same.
