Default Scrambled eggs and . . .

I like scrambled eggs, both plain and with added ingredients. My wife
does not. I thought I'd come up with a combination of ingredients that
she would really like and want it for breakfast but so far, I've struck
out.

These, I thought, would really entice her.
Scrambled eggs and --
Chocolate chips and raisins
Swiss cheese and anchovies
Olives and sour cream
Roasted peppers and herring
Onions and dates
Peanut butter and hot dogs
Sun dried tomatoes and chopped nuts
Spam and sauerkraut

! , I mean , ! Why don't you try say diced ham , mushrooms , a little
bit of finely chopped onion , and some shredded cheddar on top . Serve
with a side of chunky mild or medium salsa and some WW toast . My wife
would eat that up ... pun intended .

She's probably not fussy... she chose you. LOL

Normal females enjoy seafood crepes.

Nah, did that many times. She'd like it if I eliminated the eggs though.

my secret is to cut up some chunks of cabbage, throw them in a cuisinart
along with a couple eggs using the blade attachment, and puree

scramble with a little s&p - my wife LOVES THIS - it almost saved our
marriage

So your wife doesn't like scrambled eggs and you are trying to serve her
scrambled eggs. Smart move.

Ed, you have got to be kidding. Those combos are terrible. Take out the
'and' and put in 'or' and you'd be closer

Chopped spinach and hot sauce. That is my favourite.

Boy, you've tried everything, if she can't find something from this
list, she's just being difficult. Tsk.

Scrambled eggs aren't my favorite though I like them the
way I make them, texture-wise. Tilt the pan while pushing
the cooked egg from the sides to the center, letting the
uncooked flow to the edge. Continue doing that in
different directions. Make nice soft scrambled egged that
are still cooked.

Can't stomach watery scrambled eggs or chopped up texture.

With green peppers, mushrooms, sometimes.

The Spam n' Kraut is the only combo on that list that isn't TIAD.

Plain scrambled on a Kaiser roll has to be the most popular breakfast
order at a NYC deli.

Best method for scrambled eggs is cooking in a double boiler,
especially for large quantities.

No. She will eat them with a lot of cheese and maybe ham. Otherwise I
fry her eggs.

We have eggs for breakfast at last four times a week. Soft boiled,
fried, the occasional scrambled.

I spent many hours researching good pairings to come up with them. A
panel of professional chefs and culinary experts approved them too! I'd
NEVER kid about breakfast.

I often do (for dinner) 3 eggs fried over easy along with a
microwaved potato. 2 slices of toasted rye. and occasionally a
sausage patty or two with maple syrup on top. It's a nice
"breakfast for dinner."

I also sometimes make fried egg sandwiches. I'll make two. One
with cheese and the other with a bit of ketchup. The ketchup one
is my "dessert" egg sandwich.

Sometimes, I'll make scrambled eggs and use 4 eggs along with a
slice of cheese and some chopped tomato. It's all good.

Not only are they versatile, but the results can vary so much with
minor changes of method. Using a different type of pan, different fat,
temperature or stirring/flipping. Having runny or firm yolks makes an
incredible difference in taste in fried, boiled or poached eggs. Eggs
can be cracked into a hot pan and then scrambled, or they can be
slightly beaten before they go into the pan, or they can be beaten to a
frothy texture. They can be left in the pan to set a little before
stirring, or they can be stirred constantly. They can be done in a
double boiler. There is no one perfect way to scramble eggs, just a
personal preferences.

The same goes for fried eggs. They can be done low and slow, hot and
fast, covered of not, sunny side up, over hard, over easy, runny yolks
or hard set.

My preference is to cook them low and slow, get the whites set and the
yolks runny.

Humor impaired? Ask her how she gets treated for breakfast. I don't
like coffee but she gets the best available made for her too.

Ok, but I can't fathom scrambled eggs with sauerkraut, peanut butter
and hot dogs, dates and scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with chocolate
chips.

It's a stretch and at best, those 'professonals' were trying to sound
fancy but made a bleurgh dish I'd have sent back to the kitchen.
