I rarely used mine (perhaps never), using mainly the shredder/slicer
discs. The "bad ol' blade" is riveted. You can plainly see four
rivets used in its construction. The replacement blade has ZERO rivets.
While it took close to 7 mos to receive my replacement blade, I NEVER
once heard anything about returning the "bad ol' blade", which I still
have. This despite 3 live phone sessions with a Cuisinart support
droid.

I suspect you now hafta dispose of the "bad ol' blade", yerself.
Cheaper fer you to dispose of one (1) old blade than saddling
Cuisinart with disposal of jillions of bad blades. 8|

When I filled out the form there were instructions for disposing of the
blade, not sending it back.

Please, do something to dull/protect the blades.

Either encase the blades into some scrap cardboard or, at least, take
a stone/file/grinder and dull the blades. Don't want some poor dump
droid cutting the crap outta their hand.
