I bought some steaks there once some years ago. Not sure what kind they
were. No complaints but nobody raved about them either.

Congrats! I bought the choice NY steaks for $7.99/lb. They were pretty good.

Sounds good, Rosie! I like a good prime steak. There's no Costco near
me but I pick up some prime petite filets from time to time. Crab legs
are good, too! Enjoy!

She began by saying she bought those steaks "years" ago... most
people, myself included, wouldn't remember what cut of steak they ate
three months ago... I don't remember what I ate three days ago. I do
remember what I ate yesterday, a ham, lettuce, and tomato on Italian
bread for brunch. for dinner the better half brought home saw-seege
and pepper heros from an Italian restaurant. And I especially
remember baking a yellow box cake that I left in the loaf pan on the
stove top to cool... an hour later when I went to remove it from the
pan I saw that some cat(s) had eaten the entire top crust... my fault
for not putting it in the pantry to cool as I normally would... we
still ate it. Was probably Kali, she loves cake.

Well, Mr. Bove, the garden guy and his helper certainly loved my chicken
salad, cheese biscuits and blackberry bars. Miss Bove ate elsewhere.

I have been cooking for 50 years now and there have been very few complaints
about my cooking. I once oversalted some fresh green beans and had a
terrible flop of a soba noodle salad. For some reason, the soba noodles were
so hard, you couldn't chew them. Then there was the time I tried to rush the
potatoes for the cottage pie. Tried to shred then boil. No good. Also when I
made a pierogie casserole and my from scratch mashed potatoes were too
runny. Tried to fix with some potato flakes and added too many. Or when I
put dried corn in the chicken stew and it was hard as a rock. Accidents do
happen. But if they do, I am usually able to catch them in time and either
not serve the dish or in the case of the stew, carefully pick the corn out
before serving.

If you never had a failure, you are not trying very hard. I don't
recall ever tossing anything, but I've had less that stellar results at
times. Just look at the cake I posted today, but it is edible. Would I
serve it to company? Sure, I like a good laugh. Looks nasty but tastes
Ok and won't make you sick.

Yes, that's another thing. I've never met anyone who cooked all the
meat they bought the minute they got home from the store. Sorry but
that's just odd.

Don't fall for it Ed. She has posted countless accounts of her family
bitching and whining about the stuff she has prepared for them.

I did that once! And then threw it out because it was horrible. Aside from
that, I did cook chicken breasts for the freezer on purpose a few times. And
I sometimes do the same with ground beef, either plain or seasoned for
tacos. I don't like cooking meat from frozen and I don't like defrosting. I
also don't buy a lot of meat.

I have never seen anyone here rave about yours or Dave's cooking either, nor
mine for that matter.

How the hell does anybody know how we all cook unless they eat at our
houses!!!
