Sounds like overripe bananas to me. Definitely not the ones used in an
old style Banana Split.

Do you even know of any places that serve them around here? I know of
Denny's but, ew. And Baskin and Robbins. Highway robbery and no comfy place
to sit and eat them.

When I did eat such things, and that wasn't often, I would get that. I'd
just try to hurry up and eat the sauce and peanuts because I really don't
like ice cream.

Make them yourself.
I like the occasional treat of:
- one 'just turned yellow' banana (aka still firm)
chopped into bite size pieces
- top with some vanilla ice cream

Not a banana split but I like this plain treat.
You can also top with one of those 25 cent
Snack Pack chocolate puddings if desired.

Hopefully when you chew on anything it turns to mush. Not necessarily
slime.

Why on earth would anyone order a banana split or a sundae if they don't
like ice cream?!

Wow, its not often I meet a kindred spirit in this banana obsessed
world. I have nothing against the taste, in fact I love a banana
smoothie made with milk, ice cream, bananas and vanilla, but straight
banana, no thanks. That texture and mouth feel just does not do it for
me.
