![]() I just zested 1.5 dozen limes and 1.5 lemons. (waste not want not) With my bum arm that was pretty painful. I do have the rasp zesters, but still. Winco had these limes the size of tennis balls for 25 cents and I couldn't pass them up. I know 25 cents doesn't mean anything to those of you that live in lime country but I usually have to pay around 50-75 cents for ping pong ball size limes. Anyway, smells good around here. Now to juice them all and freeze. Janet US |

You use different muscles that were meant to do something else. Janet US |

The boat didn't budge when I yanked hard on it and it started to hurt the next day. By Day 3 I couldn't move the arm at all. I couldn't even slip a bar up soap up into my armpit without extreme pain, or even slip a towel up there to dry off. After a week and a half I had limited movement. Here I am 5 weeks later and it's pretty well healed, just a little stiffness when I move it too far back. Luckily, it was my left arm that was disabled. My friend is having a hell of a time with his right shoulder. While mine came on fast and healed quickly his got gradually worse. It started before my injury and he tried to take it easy for a while, but it is now almost as mine was at the onset. |

Awkward but it works -- still hurts though. The first two times I did my rotator cuffs I was able to use the hand on my good arm to move the bad one. It was not too painful.... as long as I held on to it. As soon as I let go and it had to hold itself in position it was excruciatingly painful. Last month's injury was different. I could not move it at all, not even with assistance from the good side. I wonder if that is because of the way I hurt it, by yanking on something too heavy and straining it in that direction. The other injuries were more of a lateral issue. I have to say that the first time I had a rotator cuff problem is the most painful injury I had ever had. The second one was no less painful, nor was the third, though it mended much quicker. However, a number of years after the second rotator cuff I broke my collar bone. That was pain on a whole other scale. Even with heavy duty pain medication an accidental movement caused near blackout pain. |

They zest just fine and you can get more juice from them after they are frozen. koko -- When you acknowledge, as you must, that there is no perfect food, only the idea of it, then the real purpose of striving toward perfection becomes clear; to make people happy, That's what cooking is all about Thomas Keller: The French Laundry |

They supply more than 1,000 restaurants in the area and the produce is top notch. http://www.specialtyproduce.com/ It's also a great source of information. On the left hand sidebar, just click on the produce you are interested in and you will get it's history, taste, use and several recipe suggestions. koko -- When you acknowledge, as you must, that there is no perfect food, only the idea of it, then the real purpose of striving toward perfection becomes clear; to make people happy, That's what cooking is all about Thomas Keller: The French Laundry |
