Last year and this, a woman took apples from one of my trees to make cider.
She gave me a gift of a jar of orange plum sauce that she just canned. She said it was made with honey as opposed to sugar. The sauce appears to be very thin. Any clues as to what to do with it? We're not really big sauce people here and in general, I just don't use them. So I haven't a clue. |

There's no need in giving you suggestions of how to use it as you've already said you all are not sauce people. Besides, a-n-y suggestion of how to use this gift in a recipe will be promptly shot down even if you all were 'sauce people.' |

Would probably be good as a syrup on waffles but waffles make the Bove deathly ill. I'd like orange plum sauce on nilla ice cream, but the Bove can't eat ice cream. Orange plum sauce would be fantastic in a marinade for spareribs but no Bove can tolerate pork. Were I the Bove's neighbor I'd dump the jar of ornge plum sauce on her empty head. |

Dear Julie...were you to google "orange plum sauce" you would get enough "uses" that would make your head swim. |

It would do well in a frying pan with raw pork. It would also do well as a glaze on ham I think. O know not all of you eat the same things so might work for some better than others. -- |

I'm making some shoyu pork using fatty pork shoulder as a fake pork belly. I'd eat that with some of that orange plum sauce. Whoo boy. |
