Default Dinner tonight 9/12/17

Great smoked Chicken on a Throne planned (beer can chicken)
*%#@ no sour cream - that takes care of the sour cream cucumbers that
I was planning on
What! only one cob of corn!!!??? ready in the garden
no potatoes, rice or suitable pasta in the house (need to go shopping,
will do when the truck comes back from the shop, currently down to one
vehicle)

O.k., here's the meal.
Chicken on a Throne
Buttermilk biscuits with cheddar and jalapenos
Sliced tomatoes and cucumbers in balsamic vinegar
1/2 cob of corn each
lemon/lime iced tea

Dinner is saved

Courtesy of "Smoke & Spice", authors Cheryl and Bill Jamison.
I'm using the brine from "Cook's Country," for chicken and the rub
from "Smoke & Spice." Since I'm not using a beer can but rather the
little wire rack can substitute that came with my smoker I thought
Chicken on a Throne was more appropriate

Sounds good. We're having Caesar-ish salad with grilled chicken on it
and robust white bread drizzled with EVOO and sprinkled with salt.

A typical weeknight meal for us to prepare after coming home from work.
