Pan fried crab cakes. I was not very hungry (it happens a lot) so I
only ate two crab cakes. I steamed a couple of cups of frozen Fordhook lima beans and ate about a cup of those, with butter, S&P as the side dish. Tasty and filling. ![]() Jill |

The members have to pay $12 for the meal and the club has to pay for at least ten meals. Mostly we have six members showing up so the club pays around $20 for each meal. |

Tasty and filling. ![]() I like all kinds of seafood but crab just doesn't appeal to me, perhaps the few times I tried crab it wasn't prepared properly. One of my favorite seafoods is scungilli, in marinara sauce over spaghetti. Unfortunately fresh scungilli is near impossible to find, canned is okay but doesn't compare to fresh. I do like limas, fresh, canned, and cooked dried. I really like this company's products, I buy their limas/butter beans often, excellent. Walmart carries them. https://margaretholmes.com/category/peas-beans/ |

Later when hungry again I ate a small salami & cheddar sandwich with some chips. Would have used provolone but I'm running low and saving that for pizza. Ice cream for dessert. Cooking has not been a high priority lately. |

What is your >"tried-and-true" sate recipe? I haven't made it for ages, since I don't eat meat anymore. But I'd make it from scratch and I'd use peanuts. |

We do have some events at a member's house with other clubs. The member says she'll send us the bill for the food but she never does. It's actually quite a money-maker for us. |
